Product details of AAA Nutrifoods High Protein Flour; Multigrain High Protein Flour, Protein Enriched Flour; Protein Flour, Weight Gain Flour (Weight: 1 Kg) Wheat is mainly consumed in the form chapatis, paratha, naan and variety of bakery products. It is the main source of calories and carbohydrates for majority of masses. Among the macronutrients, protein is vital for growth & development, maintenance, repair and fueling of the body. It is also required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body’s tissues and organs. Proteins can be obtained from animal and plant sources. Animal proteins are considered superior in quality due to abundance of essential amino acids and absence of anti-nutrients. However, being costly, the majority of the population in developing countries like Pakistan is unable to purchase these ingredients. Consequently, malnutrition is widely prevalent in its all forms and all segments of society. Being vulnerable segments of the society, children, adolescents and women of reproductive age are greatly affected. According to the National Nutrition Survey of Pakistan, a huge number of Pakistani children under five are underweight (28.9%), stunted (40.4%) and affecting by wasting (17.7%). Likewise, among the women, 14.4% are underweight along with deficiencies of vitamin A (27.3%), vitamin D (79.7%), iron (18.2%), and zinc (22.1%). AAA Nutrifoods High Protein Multigrain Flour is a combination of whole grain wheat flour, soybean, chickpea, mungbean and mash. One serving of the high protein flour (60 gram flour; equivalent to ~ 90 gram chapati) is sufficient to provide about 17.75% DV of protein, 26% DV of dietary fiber 4% DV of total fats and 215 Kcal. The regular consumption of 3-4 chapatis will provide 50 to 70% daily required protein and 645 to 860 Kcal. Furthermore, delicious paratha can be made from high protein flour by adding a pinch of salt which will provide additional 180 calories as well satiety to school going children.
